Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about TrackingMyCash — straight answers, no fluff.

What can I track with TrackingMyCash?

Record income, expenses, and account balances in Setup, then use Tracker during the month to see Cash In, Cash Out, and What’s Left. You can review previous months in Reports.

Do I need to connect my bank account?

No. You enter your own income, expenses, and balances. TrackingMyCash does not require your bank login or automatically import bank transactions.

How do I get started?

Create an account, open Setup, and add your income, fixed or recurring expenses, and opening balances. As money moves during the month, open Tracker to confirm each item’s date and amount.

Can I scan a receipt?

Yes. Use Scan Receipts from Home to help enter an expense. Check the merchant, date, amount, and category before saving it.

What does reconciling an account mean?

In Reconcile, compare the balance TrackingMyCash expects with your actual account balance. If they differ, explain the difference using an expense category before confirming it.

Can I share records with my household?

An account owner can invite a trusted household member from Account settings. Members can work with the same household money records instead of keeping separate copies.

How do I add the web app to my phone’s home screen?

On an iPhone, open TrackingMyCash in Safari, tap Share, then choose Add to Home Screen. On Android, open the site in Chrome, open the browser menu, then choose Add to Home screen or Install app.

Where can I find instructions or contact support?

The Help Guide walks through Setup, Tracker, receipts, reconciliation, reports, and subscriptions. For a question about your account or a technical problem, use Contact Us to send a message to the support team.
